An infant died at an RV park in Franklin County, Kansas early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, along with EMS and fire personnel, responded to the Homewood RV Park in Williamsburg around 6:15 a.m., the sheriff’s office shared on social media Wednesday afternoon. The first responders were directed to a two-month old infant who was not breathing.

The infant’s family members were attempting to perform CPR when police arrived, the sheriff’s office said. EMS personnel took over upon arrival, but the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased infant has not been publicly identified as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the incident Wednesday, though officers wrote on social media that they do not suspect foul play.

Homewood RV Park, a 20-acre RV park, is located off of Interstate 35 near Ottawa.
