More traffic closures expected this weekend at I-35 and I-435

Drivers can expect more traffic delays this weekend at I-35 and I-435 in Johnson County, as lanes and ramps are closed again for road work that began weeks ago.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, some lanes and ramps will be closed to eastbound and westbound traffic at the I-35 and I-435 interchange, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. The traffic closures are scheduled for bridge construction.

The closed lanes and ramps are expected to open again by 5 a.m. Monday.

The closures include all lanes of eastbound and westbound I-435 at I-35, as well as the northbound I-35 to westbound I-435 ramp, the southbound I-35 to eastbound I-435 ramp, and the Lackman Road to eastbound I-435 ramp.
