A nightclub in downtown Kansas City’s Power & Light District is set to re-open after a multi-million dollar facelift.

Mosaic, 1331 Walnut St., will re-open March 7 after $2.5 million in work to renovate and expand the space. The expansion was announced last fall as part of $10 million in upgrades planned by Cordish Companies in the entertainment district, including new outdoor audio-visual displays, ceiling heaters and a new Latin-inspired venue.

Mosaic will double in size and see upgrades like a new sound system, enhanced lighting, an improved DJ booth and a new luxury lounge with an expanded bar and VIP seating.

“My vision has always been to elevate Kansas City nightlife and bring a world-class experience to the Midwest,” Eric Coomes, strategic partner and resident DJ at Mosaic, said in a statement. “This renovation and expansion elevates Mosaic to another level, truly making it one of the premier nightclubs in the country. Mosaic has been so special to me for over a decade, and I cannot wait to show this next evolution of the concept to all of Mosaic’s friends and guests that we are so proud to serve.”
