One dead, one hospitalized after an argument in south Kansas City leads to gunfire
An argument between several people in Southeast Kansas City led to the death of one man and another man being hospitalized with critical injuries on Wednesday night, Kansas City police say.
Officers were sent to the 6900 block of Eastwood Trafficway for a reported shooting around 8:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
An additional adult male arrived at an area hospital by private vehicle, suffering from critical gunshot injuries. That victim succumbed to his injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicates a verbal argument occurred between some individuals and escalated to gunfire, according to police.
