‘Daddy’s newest fan’: Chiefs player, girlfriend do surprise gender reveal after Bills game
Inside a confetti-littered GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, surrounded by Chiefs players and their families and in front of thousands of exuberant fans, defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi and his girlfriend delivered their own super — and surprise — news Sunday.
It’s a girl.
They held up a tiny pink onesie with a Chiefs logo and a baby-sized red Chiefs cheerleader uniform.
“Daddy’s newest fan,” Nnadi’s girlfriend, Nani Hinton, wrote on Instagram, where she identifies herself as Naninotnice and as a “Panamanian princess.”
The couple announced the pregnancy on Christmas Eve on their respective Instagrams where several Chiefs wives and girlfriends congratulated them.
Hinton is a member of a squad of Chiefs significant others that includes Chariah Gordon, who is engaged to Mecole Hardman Jr. and is a new FOTS — Friend Of Taylor Swift.
She and Nnadi have been together for about three years, according to their social media posts.
In December 2022 she shared that she had received a master’s in nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing.
“I did it! I almost cannot fathom what I went through to get here,” she wrote. “I enrolled in a program 3.5 hours away from my home, and drove up there nearly every week to attend class and clinicals for the past 2 years.
“Quite literal blood, sweat, tears, and most of all God!”
Nnadi is in his seventh season with the Chiefs and has won three Super Bowls with them over the last five years.
The couple has not shared the baby’s due date.
