‘Taller than me’: Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy surprised by Taylor Swift’s height
During the raucous on-field celebration after the Chiefs won the AFC Championship Game Sunday, wide receiver Xavier Worthy seemed surprised to learn this about Taylor Swift: She’s tall.
A video posted to X showed Worthy standing behind Swift, the superstar singer who dates Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, as she hugged coach Andy Reid after the game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
“Oh (bleep),” Worthy exclaimed to someone off-camera. “Taller than me!”
Well, not really.
According to the Chiefs’ official roster listing, Worthy is 5-foot-11. By most accounts, Swift is 5-foot-10, about the same height as another notably statuesque star, Zendaya.
Now, what might have made Swift seem larger-than-life to Worthy was she was wearing Louis Vuitton Star Trail Ankle Boots ($1,760), one of the Italian luxury brand’s most recognizable designs.
The monogrammed boots have a 3-inch heel, which would have made Swift stand an inch over 6-feet — but still shorter than Kelce, who is 6-feet, 5-inches.
When Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023, one of the first things her fans noted was that Swift could wear high heels and still be shorter than Kelce.
Kelce is one of the taller men she’s dated and she’s dated a couple — Joe Jonas and Harry Styles come to mind — who were shorter than her.
Worthy’s reaction gave Swift’s fans a giggle.
