No matter the outcome of the AFC Championship Game between the Chiefs and Bills, the winners are anyone who was tiring of the Taylor Swift-Hailee Steinfeld (faux) drama.

After Sunday? No more “bad blood” comparisons of two women who have known each longer than their respective NFL significant others.

Taylor is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Steinfeld is newly engaged to Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

No more tweets like these.

Why the drama? When Steinfeld and Allen announced their engagement in November, Swift “liked” the joint Instagram post and Kelce dropped a “congratulations” into the comments.

Before the start of Sunday’s game, football fans on social media begged CBS to give Steinfeld as much “camera time” as Swift.

In the first half, Swift was briefly shown in a suite celebrating the Chiefs’ second touchdown with her mom, Andrea Swift, and Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce.

But Steinfeld, who is known to keep a low profile when she attends Bills games, got her “camera time” when a teaser for her upcoming movie with Michael B. Jordan, “Sinners,” ran early in the game. Allen visited her on the movie set in New Orleans last year.

Before the game Cosmopolitan magazine tried to manifest a meeting of the two women at Arrowhead by constructing a timeline of their friendship dating back to about 2010.

“Here’s to hoping we get to see these two reunite during Sunday’s game,” the magazine wrote.

Steinfeld told E! News in 2013 that mutual friend Emma Stone introduced her to Swift and later told People she thought of Swift as a big sister.

“We do just really random stuff when we are together,” Steinfeld told E!. “We just love to kick back, listen to music, watch TV, bake, watch movies and all of that kind of stuff.”

Over the years, social media posts have shown the women together in Paris, in Hollywood, at the same parties and at a Golden Globes after party in 2014.

In 2015 Steinfeld joined Swift on stage at the 1989 tour. That same year Steinfeld appeared in Swift’s Grammy-winning “Bad Blood” video with other “squad members,” including Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss and Mariska Hargitay.

“You get a call from Ms. Swift and you run to the phone,” Steinfeld told People in 2023. “It doesn’t even matter what’s about to be said on the other side.

“You run to the phone, you pick it up. It was the coolest to be a part of her music video with so many incredibly talented, empowering women.”

By halftime, fans were still wondering whether Steinfeld was even at the game.
