Found: Kansas City police seek public’s help in finding missing 55-year-old woman

Update: Anita has been located and is safe, according to police.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Kansas City woman.

Anita Mitchell, 55, was last seen around 5 a.m. Saturday outside of the Regional Medical Center near the intersection of Meyer Boulevard and Prospect Avenue, according to Jake Becchina, spokesperson for the police department.

Mitchell is 5-foot-4 and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue hospital gown, according to Becchina.

Her family is concerned for her welfare due to health issues. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Missing Person Squad at 816-234-5043.
