Sorry, Kansas City Chiefs fans. You have to share all that good Taylor Swift mojo with Cubs fans now.

She’s apparently been helping Chicago win games lately. Or so the team thinks.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell has revealed that the team is burning a Taylor Swift candle for luck.

“I was gifted a Taylor Swift candle, and we’ve been lighting that before games in my office ... clubhouse manager Danny Miller (and I),” Counsell told Marquee Sports Network on Tuesday. “We’ve been on a nice little run here, so we’re going to credit Taylor Swift.”

As of Tuesday, when the Cubs beat the Pirates 9-5, they’ve won eight of their last 11 games. pushing them over the .500 mark to 67-66. They’re now 5.5 games out of a Wild Card spot.

Not such a cruel summer after all, huh?

They’re keeping track of how many times they’ve lit the candle, and won, with hashmarks on the candle label.

The $21 “This Smells Like Taylor Swift Candle,” candle, by Babes of Chicago, comes in four fragrances — Beverly Hills, Cactus Blossom, Mahogany Coconut and Sexy Cowboy.

The eight-ounce candle burns about 50 hours.

The Cubs better stock up.

In the weird, wacky world of baseball superstitions, at least a Taylor Swift candle isn’t as cringe as Jason Giambi wearing a lucky thong. And Cubs fans don’t seem to mind that, you know, Swift’s heart belongs to the NFL and the guy on the Chiefs.

Wrote one fan on X: “If the Cubs make the playoffs, I’ll listen to every one of her songs from her 1st album to her last. I’ll cleanse myself after by doing the same with Slayer’s catalog.”
