From parades and festivals to movie showings and a swing-dancing workshop, Kansas City residents can find a multitude of ways to celebrate Pride in 2024.

All throughout June, Kansas City nonprofits and businesses put on events celebrating the LGBTQ community.

Outside of these events, celebrate Pride by checking out some LGBTQ+ books for all ages or taking a self-guided tour of Kansas City’s gay history. You can also learn about the local connections behind up-and-coming pop star Chappell Roan and the Kansas native who designed the rainbow Pride flag.
