Fans: Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Grammy win is good karma for Chiefs at Super Bowl
Taylor Swift made history at the Grammys Sunday, becoming the first person to win a fourth album of the year award.
Good karma for the Kansas City Chiefs going into the Super Bowl?
Her fans took her historic Grammy win as a good omen for the team.
Don’t even bother to show up, 49ers, because Swifties have your number.
“She did it. Taylor Allison Swift. First ever to win Album of the year 4 times,” one Swiftie tweeted after the show. “Chiefs by a billion.”
And she wasn’t the only one thinking that a Chiefs win is, well, inevitable because of the karma flowing now.
“FINALLY: Taylor Swift wins Grammy No. 14 after she got robbed a couple of times! 4th time Album of the Year! Yesssssss!!!! Now Chiefs win the Super Bowl for sure!” sports commentator Skip Bayless tweeted shortly after Swift accepted the award from Celine Dion, who made a surprise appearance as a presenter.
“Taylor Swift wins Album of the Year? Time to bet a months paycheck on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl,” tweeted another sportscaster, Luke Gamble in Wisconsin.
Swift has dated Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce since last summer. She will be in concert for four nights this week in Tokyo, but is expected to fly to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl on Sunday.
“All this winning within #ChiefsKingfom continues with Taylor Swift winning ALBUM OF THE YEAR just now at The Grammys. Taylor is the first person to win album of the year, 4 times! Her 2nd award tonight. Her 14th Grammy. Good momentum taking us into the Super Bowl,” tweeted Johnny’s Tavern, where TVs were set to the Grammys on Sunday.
Swift’s album “Midnights” also won best pop vocal album Sunday night. She has now won 14 Grammys in her career. Before Sunday, Swift was tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon for three career wins for album of the year.
Some folks were quick with the Swiftie math after she won again.
“Taylor Swift wins her 4th ever Grammy for Album of the Year. If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, it will be their 4th Super Bowl in franchise history. It’s all connected, people,” tweeted X user @JaguarGator9NFL.
