These KC area restaurants had health code violations: Fuzzy’s, Nick & Nino’s, and more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available). For complete Kansas health inspections, click here.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, 13505 S. Mur-Len Road, Olathe, had 11 violations during an Oct. 31 routine inspection.

Jose Pepper’s, 6870 Johnson Drive, Mission, had 10 violations during an Oct. 26 routine inspection.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, 11855 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had nine violations during an Oct. 31 inspection following a complaint.

Thai Place, 9359 87th St., Overland Park, had seven violations during an Oct. 31 routine inspection.

Jalisco Restaurant, 5000 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had seven violations during an Oct. 30 follow-up inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:

Nick & Nino’s Pub, 10022 N.W. Ambassador Drive, had 10 critical violations during an Oct. 28 routine inspection.

Subway, 6413 N. Cosby Ave., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 27 routine inspection. It had none during an Oct. 30 follow-up.
