Kansas City bakery, health restaurant will be a vendor in the new KC Current Stadium
Kansas City’s Billie’s Grocery will serve its organic food inside the new KC Current stadium.
The soccer team announced Tuesday that Billie’s, located at 3216 Gillham Plaza (with another coming to Leawood at 3614 W. 95th St.), will be a vendor when CPKC Stadium opens in March.
Billie’s Grocery sells healthy meals and treats, like breakfast bowls, wraps, salads, specialty coffee and pastries.
“Partnering with a woman-owned restaurant that is not only appetizing and delicious, but also has a fresh and clean focus was a no-brainer for CPKC Stadium,” said vice president of marketing Jocelyn Monroe in a news release.
The vendor will be located around section 128 and will be one of several local restaurants inside the women’s soccer venue.
Billie’s is the second vendor to be announced. On Oct. 17, KC Current announced that Joe’s KC would sell its barbecue inside the stadium.
KC Current shared a post indicating that it would make weekly restaurant partner announcements until Dec. 19.
CPKC Stadium is named after the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway line. KC Current’s stadium is a privately funded, $117-million project that is expected to hold 11,500 seats when it opens at Berkley Riverfront.
