Update: Officials canceled the statewide alert Monday after Richard D. Schlesselman was found dead in tall grass on his property. No foul play is suspected at this time.

Officials issued a statewide alert for a Pettis County man who has been missing since Saturday.

Richard D. Schlesselman, 58, went for a jog in the area of 31700 Pacific School Road in Mora, Missouri around 4:30 p.m. and didn’t return home, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Schlesselman is 6 feet tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He is bald and has hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a bright-colored shirt, shorts and tennis shoes.

Anyone who sees Schlesselman or knows of his whereabouts should call 911 or the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department at 660-826-8100.
