A Friday night crash in Kansas City left a motorcyclist with critical injuries, according to a statement from the Kansas City Police Department.

Just before 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash on the 6900 block of Coal Mine Road. There, investigators determined the driver of a blue Aprilia motorcycle had been speeding down the road, lost control and veered off the road.
