A motorcyclist died in Kansas City on Friday evening after hitting a car and being ejected from his vehicle into a creek.

The victim, who has not been identified by police, was speeding along Little Blue Road near Marion Avenue around 6:20 p.m. when he struck the side mirror of a red Ford Taurus.

The driver veered off the road and went into an embankment, where he hit a rock wall and was ejected from his motorcycle, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
