Children’s Mercy East in Independence reopens after week-long closure due to water damage
Children’s Mercy East in Independence reopened Tuesday after closing for a week due to weather-related water damage.
The outpatient clinics and on-site urgent care are again open for normal business hours, according to spokeswoman Lisa Augustine.
While the hospital was closed, urgent cares at Children’s Mercy Blue Valley and Children’s Mercy Northland remained open each day. Centerpoint Medical Center, which operates the closest emergency room to Children’s Mercy, also remained open.
