Extreme weather left many people hoping to hit the slopes at Snow Creek in Weston, MO out of luck Friday, according to a post from the site’s social media page.

The ski resort suffered a power outage due to the frigid winter storm blowing through the state, postponing the opening they had set for Friday at 4 p.m., they said their Facebook post.

Snow Creek had already delayed their season opening as a result of poor conditions.

According to their social media, the property originally planned to open trails to the public on Dec. 17. However, mild temperatures, rain and too little snow forced the resort to reschedule.

Holiday season hours are expected to run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., they said on social media. But it is unclear when conditions will improve, allowing the trails to open.
