Update: Bernard Gene Zvacek was found.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an endangered silver advisory Monday for an 87-year-old man last seen Sunday evening in Lee’s Summit.

Bernard Gene Zvacek left his residence in the 200 block of Northwest Hillcrest Lane around 5:30 p.m. to visit his wife at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, but never arrived, authorities said.

He is 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. Zvacek was last seen wearing a flannel, blue jacket and jeans, and has gray hair and brown eyes.

His vehicle, a burgundy 2020 Hyundai Palisade with Missouri license plates, was also last seen on Hillcrest.

Zvacek is considered endangered because he is hearing impaired and can be forgetful.

Anyone who sees Zvacek or his vehicle or who knows additional information is asked to call 911 immediately. They can also contact Troop A in Lee’s Summit directly by calling 816-622-0800.
