A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning in Kansas City, police said.

Traveling eastbound around 7:40 a.m., a white Audi Q7 drove through a green light at Truman Road through Grand Boulevard in the outermost lane of traffic, police said. The Audi moved toward the innermost lane, when it hit a pedestrian walking across Truman just east of Grand.

Police said the driver remained at the scene.
