One man died and two others were seriously injured Sunday afternoon following a crash in Cass County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded just after 1:50 p.m. to Route D at 166th Road, according to the crash report.

Charles Puhr, 44, of Grandview was traveling at a high speed in a 1997 Honda, when a 1984 Chevrolet entered the lane in front of him, the report said.

Puhr struck the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet, 48-year-old Chad and Kristen Bilyeu, both of Belton, were transported to a hospital in serious condition, according to the highway patrol.
