Overland Park police ask for help finding dog who bit a woman, critically injured her dog

Overland Park police are requesting the public’s help in locating a dog that bit another dog and their owner Saturday morning.

The injured dog suffered critical injuries, according to Capt. Tirsa Otero, a spokeswoman for the department.

Officers determined the bite occurred around 8:30 a.m. on the west end of the Overland Park Regional Hospital parking lot. The dog responsible was large with long, black hair and a light-colored patch on its chest.

A slender woman with dark hair was last seen walking this dog on a trail by Rosehill East Park.
