Northbound Interstate 29 closed at U.S. 169 in Clay County for emergency bridge repairs

All lanes of northbound Interstate 29 at U.S. 169 in Clay County will be closed beginning Monday morning for emergency bridge joint repairs, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced.

The closure is expected to remain in place from 8:30 a.m. Monday until approximately Tuesday afternoon, the department said in a news release. The work will be done weather permitting.

Northbound I-29 traffic will be routed to northbound U.S. 169.

The suggested detour route runs from northbound U.S. 169 to Missouri Route 152 and back to northbound I-29, according to the department.
