Kansas City police: 12-year-old girl last seen Friday is found safe

Update: Just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, police said Jamyha Johnson had been found and is safe.

The Kansas City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 12-year-old girl.

Jamyha Johnson was last seen Friday near 72nd and Tracy Avenue.

She is 5 feet tall and weighs 130 pounds. She was wearing a blue hoodie and gray pants with butterflies, and had a light blue backpack and a dark colored duffel bag, the police department said.

If anyone has seen Johnson or knows her whereabouts, they are asked to call 911 or the police department’s missing persons unit at 816-234-5136.
