Teen dies from injuries suffered in two-vehicle crash Sunday in Olathe

A 17-year-old died from injuries she suffered in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Olathe.

The Olathe Police Department responded about 4:25 p.m. to the intersection of South Hedge Lane and West Larkspur Street where a white pickup truck and a red passenger car had collided, said Sgt. Joel Yeldell, a spokesman for the department.

The driver of the truck, a 41-year-old man, was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the passenger car was transported in critical condition. She later died, Yeldell said.

The crash remains under investigation.
