33-year-old man identified as victim of fatal motorcycle crash in Kansas City, Kansas

A 33-year-old Edwardsville man has been identified by police as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred last week in Kansas City, Kansas.

Kansas City, Kansas, police said in a news release Wednesday that the driver, Justin Owens, died as a result of the wreck.

Police were called to investigate the crash at the intersection of West 39th Avenue and Merriam Lane about 7:40 p.m. June 4.

The preliminary investigation showed that the motorcycle was traveling east on Merriam Lane when it left the road and struck a building, police stated. The driver, later identified as Owens, died from the injuries.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department investigated the wreck.
