Motorcyclist dies after after crashing into building in Kansas City, Kansas

A motorcyclist died Thursday evening after he left the road and crashed into a building in southern Kansas City, Kansas, police said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred about 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of West 39th Avenue and Merriam Lane.

The preliminary investigation showed that the motorcyclist was headed east on Merriam Lane when he left the road and crashed into a building.

The accident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit/Critical Collision Response Team.
