2 children killed in crash in Jackson County on Friday, highway patrol says
Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forté said a double fatal crash involving children was reported Friday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was investigating the crash at East Blue Mills Road and North Miller Drive in Jackson County, according to Forté’s Twitter message.
The highway patrol said in a separate Twitter post that troopers were called to assist shortly after 5 p.m.
At the scene, two juveniles were pronounced dead, the highway patrol stated. Details leading up to the wreck and the victims’ names and ages have not been released.
The investigation was ongoing.
