Police search for 12-year-old boy reported missing Saturday afternoon

Kansas City police are searching for a 12-year-old boy last seen Saturday afternoon.

The Kansas City Police Department asked for help in the search for Christopher Mendoza.

He was last seen at 1:13 p.m. Saturday at 8150 Wornall Road, the Cornerstones of Care Gillis Campus, wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts. Christopher is 5-feet-1 inch tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He is not from the Kansas City area, police said.

Anyone who sees the child should call 911 immediately, police said.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s Missing Persons Section at 816-234-5136.
