Public chooses name for baby otter at the Kansas City Zoo
There’s a certain ring to “Otis” the otter.
That’s the name chosen with the public’s help for a male Asian small-clawed otter at the Kansas City Zoo. The otter was born Aug. 27.
The zoo asked the public to submit names for its baby otter and “received tons of great ideas,” the zoo announced Friday. Zookeepers narrowed the list to four and asked the public to vote.
Otis and his parents have been off exhibit but the family is expected to go on public view Nov. 24.
Information about adopting Otis can be found on the zoo’s website.
