Prayer vigil for slain 3-year-old Marcus Haislip II is Sunday in KC
A prayer vigil to honor the life of a 3-year-old boy shot and killed last week in Kansas City is Sunday.
The vigil for Marcus Haislip II will begin at 5 p.m. at Loose Park near the shelter close to the Wornall entrance.
Marcus was killed in a triple shooting May 12. The boy, his father, and another relative were in a vehicle at 54th Street and Park Avenue when a man on foot started shooting at their car.
Police said the suspect is a black male who was wearing a red hoodie and gray shorts at the time of the shooting.
