Kansas reaches 482 coronavirus cases, 10 total deaths reported
Kansas health officials reported 482 positive coronavirus cases in the state Wednesday afternoon, which is roughly a 13% increase from the previous day’s total.
Ten deaths are now reported in the state, which includes a 90 year-old woman who died Tuesday in Coffey County.
At least 114 have been hospitalized in Kansas because of the coronavirus, which is about 35 more people than reported the day before.
Patients have ranged from 0 to 95 years old, according to officials.
A majority of the results have come from private labs. Health officials reported 361 confirmed cases were tested privately. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has conducted the test for 121 confirmed cases.
At least 5,411 cases have tested negatively.
Coronavirus is present in 41 of the state’s 105 counties. Johnson County has the largest amount of cases with 143. Seventeen new cases were reported in the county on Wednesday.
The U.S. has more than 186,000 confirmed cases.
