Eight more coronavirus cases reported in Wyandotte County as total reaches 75

The number of new coronavirus cases rose again in Wyandotte County Tuesday, reaching at least 75 cases, according to the latest statistics released by local health officials.

That’s an increase of eight new cases from Monday. The number of deaths, however, remained at four.

The county has also received 102 people self-reporting symptoms, of which 38 cases have been determined to be probable cases where the person has not been tested, but it’s likely they have the disease based on what they reported.

The people who have been determined to be a probable case have been told to isolate at home just like someone who has tested positive for the disease.

In Kansas, the number of positive coronavirus cases reached 368 persons on Monday. There has been eight deaths related to the disease across the state, according to the latest numbers available from state health officials.

In Johnson County, the number of confirmed cases climbed to 116 on Monday. Meanwhile, Leavenworth County had 20 confirmed cases.

The number of cases across the U.S. climbed to 165,874 confirmed. The number of deaths reached 3,178, according to Johns Hopkins University.
