Missouri’s seventh coronavirus case identified in St. Louis City

Missouri’s seventh case of the new coronavirus was identified Monday in St. Louis City.

Mayor Lyda Krewson said a person in their 20s had flown to an airport in another state from a country where COVID-19 is present.

As the individual drove to St. Louis City, they developed symptoms and immediately sought medical attention.

The person has been in self-quarantine since then.

Krewson said there are no signs of community transmission.

Seven cases of the coronavirus have been found in Missouri including in Springfield, St. Louis County, Henry County and Greene County.

No cases have been recorded in Kansas City. On Monday, Mayor Quinton Lucas announced that gatherings of more than 10 people is prohibited.

Eleven cases have been identified in Kansas where Gov. Laura Kelly suspended gatherings of more than 50 people.
