This NFL icon is opening a sports collectibles shop in Kansas City
A sports cards, trading cards and sports memorabilia store backed by an NFL legend is opening in Kansas City’s Power and Light this weekend.
CardVault by Tom Brady, will open at 1310 Main St. and offer collectors items for fans of the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting and Current. Brady himself, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and retired quarterback, will be at the grand opening party Saturday, according to the release.
The store will also feature single cards, sealed boxes, packs, and collectibles from brands like Fanatics, Upper Deck, Panini and Pokémon. Customers will be able to buy, sell and trade.
“As an authorized dealer for PSA, Beckett, and SGC, the Kansas City location will offer on-site grading submission services, helping collectors preserve and elevate their most valuable pieces,” the release said.
CardVault was founded in 2020 by a team backed by Tom Brady. Along with cards and collectibles, stores feature a signature vault, displaying autographed, and authenticated memorabilia including helmets and jerseys and other game-used equipment, according to the release.
“Following the success we’ve seen in Ballpark Village in St. Louis with our partners at The Cordish Companies, expanding into their Kansas City Power & Light District is a natural next step,” said Ed Kane, co-founder of CardVault. “Kansas City has one of the most passionate sports fan bases in the country, and we’re excited to bring the CardVault experience to the center of that energy.”
The opening day ceremony will start at 11 a.m. featuring Tom Brady in an on-stage appearance, along with CardValt co-founder Chris Costa, according to the release. The store will open at noon and the first 25 customers will get a Kansas City-themed CardVault hat.
CardVault will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will host trade nights, special guest appearances, exclusive product launches, and more.
