This popular Prairie Village women’s boutique is closing next month
A popular Prairie Village boutique will be closing next month.
Scoobie, a women’s boutique that sells clothing, shoes and accessories at The Shops at Prairie Village, 23 On The Mall, announced in an Instagram post Tuesday that the shop will close both its brick-and-mortar location and its website in early to mid-June, with an exact closing date to be announced later.
“What started as a dream 14 years ago, and grew into something truly special here in Prairie Village over the last 7 years, has been deeply impacted by 17 months of ongoing construction that ultimately made it impossible to continue as a brick-and-mortar store,” the Instagram post said. “It was not a decision I made lightly.”
Owner Sarah Jabbour said it’s not goodbye forever, adding “I am equally excited about what comes next, because Scoobie isn’t disappearing. It’s evolving into something new and elevated, and I cannot wait to bring you along for it. “
“This business, this community, these relationships, they are woven into who I am. Watching women find confidence in something they put on,” Jabbour said in the post. “Building friendships that go far beyond a fitting room. Being a small part of so many of your lives - that is what I will carry with me forever.”
In light of the closure, Scoobie is having a sale in which everything both online and in the shop is 50% off and final sale, according to the post.
Scoobie is open Tuesday through Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m.
