Openings & Closings

Store on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza closes after 4 years

Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza saw another closure this week when a menswear company of four years said goodbye.

Psycho Bunny, 415 Nichols Road, closed March 29, according to the shopping center. It sold polos, matching sets, beachwear and more. It had been on the Plaza for four years.

Caroline Hogan, a spokeswoman with the Plaza, said the shopping center is actively looking to lease the space, as well as others across the property.

New York-based Psycho Bunny declined to comment Tuesday.

Meanwhile, pink-centric, sorority-chic boutique LoveShackFancy recently opened on the Plaza at 319 Nichols Road. The women’s store launched its Plaza popup a couple of weeks ago and sells dresses, sets, tops and fragrances.

Locally owned clothing brand Mersea will open a popup at 602 W. 48th St., though the shopping center did not specify how long it would be open. It’s eyeing an opening this summer.

Menswear store JH & Sons plans to open soon at 316 and 314 Ward Parkway, and Vertice Italian aims to open sometime this year at 616 Ward Parkway.
