Kansas City plant shop will close its store in the Northland

ROOTS, a Kansas City-based plant nursery, announced it is closing one of its three locations.

Originally a pop-up, the Zona Rosa location at 7102 NW 86th Terrace was a permanent storefront for three years until ROOTS announced the closure Sunday.

“After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to close our Zona Rosa store, with our last day being Saturday, March 28,” ROOTS said in an Instagram post.

The other two locations, in the River Market, 412 Delaware St., and on the West Side, 818 W. 17th St., will remain open. “Thank you to everyone in the Northland who supported us over the last three years. We hope you’ll come visit us at our other stores soon,” the post said.

ROOTS is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 6p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
