A popular apparel brand is opening its second Kansas City-area location
A second J.Crew location is coming to the Kansas City area this year.
The new J. Crew will open a 5,226-square-foot store at the Town Center in Leawood, 5000 W. 119th St., near Kendra Scott and Bluemercury, according to a Federal Realty Investment Trust news release.
J.Crew — part of a family of brands including Madewell and Crewcuts — has been selling modern classic clothing for the whole family since 1984. The opening in Leawood will be the 116th store across the country.
The other location is at the Plaza, 519 Nichols Road.
There are three J. Crew Factory (a separate brand that some fashion writers note comes with a reduced price tag) locations in Kansas City, including the Legends Outlets at 1813 Village West Parkway and two in Overland Park, 4949 W. 119th Street and 7840 W. 161st St. Suite H-100.
J. Crew was previously open in Leawood’s Town Center Plaza , 5004 W. 119th St., but closed in 2022.
Last week, Federal Realty Investment Trust also announced the opening of a third Coach location in Kansas City at the Town Center in Leawood. This one comes with a coffee shop.
An exact date for the opening has yet to be announced.
