Chick-fil-A opens temporary Kansas City location in this new neighborhood
Chick-fil-A is coming to downtown Kansas City — at least for now.
Starting Monday, July 14, the fast-food chain will open a temporary location inside Commerce Tower South at 1000 Walnut St. The pop-up site is located across from the recently closed Charisse space in the building’s atrium.
It will offer dine-in and carry-out service Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a company spokesperson.
“It’s our pleasure to confirm that local owner-operator Dustin Andrews of Chick-fil-A 113th & Nall will be extending his service to guests,” the spokesperson said in an email to The Star. “We look forward to joining the downtown Kansas City community and serving all our guests with genuine hospitality and care.”
Customers will be able to order “a selection of Chick-fil-A menu favorites,” though the company did not specify which items will be available at the downtown location.
There are roughly 18 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Kansas City metropolitan area, including locations in Olathe, Lee’s Summit, Liberty and Midtown.
