KC area chain will open second location, give away free chicken wings
WingStand will open a second Kansas City area location Saturday.
The new spot, owned by franchisee Joe Finch, is in Olathe at 119 S. Mur-Len Road.
The restaurant is a quick-service spinoff from the owners of Jefferson’s in Lawrence. It serves hot wings, chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders in 20 different sauces. Smashburgers and veggie wings are also available.
To mark the grand opening, WingStand is giving away free six-piece wing orders Saturday to users of its mobile app, no purchase required. To receive the promotion, visitors must download the WingStand app and access the code before Saturday.
The other WingStand in the metro remains open at 5438 Johnson Drive in Mission. A previous location at 7715 State Line Road closed in December 2023.
Hours at the new Olathe location are Monday to Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday to Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
