The Crossroads wine shop Big Mood is closing.

Owner Richard Garcia announced Friday on social media that Sunday will be its last day in business at 2020 Baltimore Ave., Suite 102.

“It seems like we have been hanging on by a thread for a while now, and it looks like it’s time for us to shut our doors and consider what our next steps will be,” Garcia wrote. “To all our beloved community members, pop-up vendors, collaborators and haters, thank you for the past five years.”

Opened in 2020, Big Mood focused on natural wines — the first shop in the city to do so. It also served wine by the glass and served as a hub for community events. Depending on the night, the space might have hosted live music, a pop-up from Tacos Valentina or Disco Burger, or a fundraiser for KC Tenants.

The shop will be open Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from 3 to 10 p.m., Garcia wrote. “Come party with us this weekend.”
