The largest wine store in the country is opening its new Kansas City location
Total Wine & More has added another Kansas City store.
The latest is at 4201 Main St. The location was formerly an Office Depot, which closed in June.
Its first day of operation is Thursday, according to a sign posted to the entrance.
It’ll be the fifth Total Wine in the Kansas City area. Other locations are:
▪ 13657 Washington St. in south Kansas City (formerly Lukas Fine Wine & Spirits, which Total Wine acquired in 2023)
▪ 8520 N. Evanston Ave. near Liberty
▪ 1648 N.W. Chipman Road in Lee’s Summit
▪ 12100 Blue Valley Parkway in Overland Park
Edward Cooper, a representative for Total Wine, said the store would be donating 10% of all wine sales between Nov. 21-24 to Harvesters Community Food Network.
Founded in Delaware and based in Bethesda, Maryland, Total Wine is the country’s largest wine retailer, with 276 locations across the U.S. Typical locations carry 8,000 wines from across the globe, plus 2,500 craft beers and 5,000 different spirits.
