Pizza Tascio has closed its Lawrence restaurant.

“We’ve cherished every moment in Lawrence and are incredibly proud of the connections we’ve made with our customers,” said Eli Lombardino, a partner in the Kansas City-based pizza chain. “It’s been a wonderful journey, and we are excited about new opportunities and growth closer to our home in the KC area.”

The Lawrence location opened at 1004 Massachusetts St. in 2022.

Erik Borger founded Pizza Tascio in 2021, serving New York-style pies. It quickly expanded to multiple Kansas City area locations. He sold Pizza Tascio in 2023 to twin brothers Gian and Caleb Lombardino, who run it with their brother Eli.

Earlier this year, the Lombardinos opened a Belton location.
