For the seventh time now, Pizza Tascio is expanding.

The fast-growing local chain is adding an eighth location, this one in Belton, at 300 N. Scott Ave.

“It’ll be on the smaller side — about the size of our North Kansas City store,” said partner Eli Lombardino. “We hope to open up shop the third week of April.”

Erik Borger, who founded Pizza Tascio in 2021, sold the chain to twin brothers Gian and Caleb Lombardino in November. Gian is a longtime operator and manager of the restaurants. The three brothers, all in their 20s, now run the business together. The Belton pizzeria will be the first new shop since the acquisition.

Why Belton?

“We love the community, we like the demographics, and there’s not a lot of competition,” Lombardino said. “It fit our model. Plus, a few of us live out there.”

He said the new ownership team isn’t planning to change much at all about Pizza Tascio.

“We want to keep the magic,” Lombardino said. “And we’re planning to open a few more later this year.”
