Kansas City area restaurants with health code violations: Sawasdee, Grand Street, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:

China Feast, 3119 E. 12th St., had 11 critical violations during a March 4 routine inspection.

Taco Cacao, 1046 W. 103rd St., had 11 critical violations during a March 4 routine inspection.

Asian Buffet, 511 N.W. Barry Road, had eight critical violations during a March 3 routine inspection.

The Bar West Plaza, 1121 W. 47th St., had eight critical violations during a March 4 routine inspection.

El Pulgarcito Restaurant Salvadorean, 4200 E. Truman Road, had eight critical violations during a March 3 routine inspection.

Olive Cafe, deli, 9350 James A. Reed Road, Suite B, had seven critical violations during a Feb. 27 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 6 follow-up inspection.

Sawasdee Thai Cuisine, 11838 Quivira Road, Overland Park, had 17 priority violations during a March 7 routine inspection.

Pad Thai Restaurant, 14319 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 12 priority violations during a March 2 routine inspection.

Cosentino’s Market, 8051 W. 160th St., Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a Feb. 27 routine inspection.

Geo’s Gourmet Bakery, 12805 S. Mur-Len Road, Olathe, had nine priority violations during a March 6 first operational inspection after licensing.

Grand Street Cafe, 8815 Renner Blvd., Lenexa, had nine priority violations during a March 7 inspection following a complaint.

Bonito Michoacan Bakery, 1200 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a Feb. 27 licensing inspection.

Sierra Grill, 8659 Penrose Lane, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a March 7 first operational inspection after licensing.
