Food & Wine has published “The Best Places to Eat Filipino Food in Every State.”

Ting’s Filipino Bistro, a new local restaurant, made the listing for Missouri.

Theresa “Ting” Santos opened Ting’s in Parlor food hall in the Crossroads in January. Food & Wine talks about the City Market location, 405 Main St., but it is not scheduled to open until July 15.

Another location, Ting’s 39th at 1803 W. 39th St., is scheduled to open in August. Blue Koi Noodles & Dumplings formerly operated in the space.

Food & Wine said this of Ting’s: “The Pancit Sotanghon is a chicken broth-based soup with scallions, heaps of fried garlic, and shredded chicken, along with a side of patis added by request. ...translucent, thin and slippery glass noodles best enjoyed in satisfying hefty mouthfuls slurping and chewing in alternation.”

“That’s so cool, that’s so nice,” Santos said of her placement on the list.

She also plans to open Khalia’s Pizzeria in Parlor on July 8. It will serve pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, grinders and desserts including Italian cookies.

It will take the former Providence Pizzeria space. Providence closed in early May.
