A site in southern Overland Park that was home to several restaurants will soon be a QuikTrip.

QuikTrip has demolished the restaurant building at 9100 W. 135th St. and will put up a 4,993-square-foot convenience store with eight fueling stations and 55 parking spaces. A late 2022 opening is scheduled.

Everett’s Restaurant operated there for nearly three years. Then in early 2007, Aaron Buerge, a former lead on television show “The Bachelor” and a Springfield resident, opened Trolley’s Downtown Bar & Grille.

Trolley’s closed in 2010 and locally owned Blue Moose Bar & Grill took over the spot before closing in 2018. Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar then operated in the building but closed during the pandemic.

The 7,588-square-foot restaurant had been for sale.
