The Country Club Plaza recently had about 30 empty spaces. But it is quickly filling some of those spots.

Pandora jewelry plans to open June 16 at 421 Nichols Road.

Pandora is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is one of the world’s largest jewelry brands. It designs, manufactures and markets hand-finished jewelry “made from high-quality materials at affordable prices.”

Pandora jewelry is sold in more than 100 countries through 6,800 points of sale, including more than 2,600 concept stores. Its area stores are in Independence Center and in Oak Park Mall in Overland Park.

Pandora had previously operated on the Plaza, opening at 231 W. 47th St. in 2010 before closing a few years later.

Meanwhile, St. Louis-based The Normal Brand, which sells women’s and men’s apparel, has applied for a permit for 425 Nichols Road. Company officials did not return phone calls or emails seeking comment.

Jill Marie Boutique had operated a pop-up shop there and planned to stay through May. But it closed earlier this month to make way for “a new tenant.”
