Multiple Kansas City area health violations: Denny’s, Firehouse Subs, Cliff’s, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Black Stag Brewery & Pub, 623 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 18 inspection following a complaint.

Denny’s, 10480 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 18 inspection following a complaint.

Mi Pueblito Meat Market, 1311 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 19 routine inspection.

Selamta Ethiopian Restaurant and Bar, 12838 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 20 routine inspection.

Sahara Mediterranean, 10150 W. 119th St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Jan. 24 routine inspection.

Firehouse Subs, 8934 N.W. Skyview Ave., had eight critical violations during a Jan. 19 routine inspection.

Big B’s deli, 3800 E. Gregory Blvd., had seven critical violations during a Jan. 18 routine inspection.
